Dán faoi Éireann, le muintir na hÉireann, cibé áit ina bhfuil siad ar fud an domhain.
A poem about Ireland, by the people of Ireland, wherever they are in the world.

Editorial Board

The Editorial Board found editing The Gathering Poem a challenging process, due to the high volume of stunning entries. Dr Philip Coleman, School of English in Trinity College, Dublin edited as did Breandán Ó Broin of Company of Words, along with the founder of The Gathering Poem, Elaine Walsh.

We were then compelled to put together The Gathering Poem book and to include the many verses too beautiful not to share, powerful stories needed to be heard. And then the book was entered into The National Collection of Books of Ireland, it will be held in the National Library of Ireland for the next 150 years. It was admitted for both content and design, is now considered a landmark in Irish Literature. The dream, the two year battle to make this book happen, it was worth it.
